![]() because we did not care for the neighborhood. We had not been to the Fox Plaza location in years. We came for dinner at their brand new location on Germantown Parkway in Cordova (where Abners used to be) hoping to get a taste of what we remembered from the Leonard’s of long ago. Do them a service by creating an environment they can be proud of, food, atmosphere, and policies that make sense. Also, your staff is genuinely rude, likely due to dealing with upset customers on the regular. You can be cost conscious while also ensuring that genuine customer issues are respectfully addressed and resolved. I typically try to support small businesses, but, whether through lack of support or the city health department, the citizens of Memphis will be done a service once this place is inevidentably shut down.Ī word to the owners of BJ's, in case I'm wrong and you actually care about customer experience, do better. I really love the hot sauce they use on the wings, but it's not worth my health and dignity, both of which BJ's doesn't value. Any customer deserves better than this place. I went back to my purse, sat down for a minute, then got up and walked out. I wanted to read her for filth, but I just said ok. Her exact words were, "well if the owner was here he would consider that other one eaten, but I can send him a picture and ask". Relieved, I asked for two more whole wings since I already ate one. She described it as "undercooked" and "sorta raw". I asked for help (several times), showed her my chicken, and asked if this was normal. I was disgusted, but I knew I had to deal with the rude staff and shouldn't make a bad situation worse by approaching this in a disgruntled manner. I tore into the next wing to check it and found the same sad situation. I had eaten almost all of one wing before I noticed. I ordered and received the 3 piece whole wing combo. Not only were they characteristically rude, which I had long ago chosen to ignore, but they also served me undercooked wings. Today in the last chapter of the saga of poor experiences at BJ's Hot Wings, I finally had enough. ![]() My mouth waters just thinking about these wings! So there you go! So despite the entire enterprise looking like a squat, their wings are a redeeming factor. And the wings themselves? Actually quite tasty! This is obviously of of those dives that happens to turn out a decent product. Having said that, the staff were friendly enough and seem non-plussed by our 'bizarre' behaviour. I'm guessing you'd never find locals doing this. Ok, so we walked there but this place is drive thru only! Only in America would a restaurant actually have business WITHOUT having one customer seat in sight!!! We had to walk up to the service window to place an order and ended up sitting on the lawn in front of the restaurant. Not wanting to spend inordinate amounts of money in one of the local tourist traps, we decided to. We went to the nearby Graceland and while we were waiting for our turn to go in (an hour's wait) we decided to go for a bite.
